NetApp content-management workflow solutions in broadcast, cable, sports, entertainment, telco, Internet, gaming, and social-media sites will be showcased. File-based workflows and services-oriented architectures (SOA) are being widely adopted and deployed. The benefits of cloud-computing infrastructures are being evaluated by the media enterprise, prompted by the need to master and deliver more content to more media outlets with fewer resources. NetApp’s expertise is in the transaction of content. Its unified architecture provides the ability to host content essence, metadata, and relational databases on the same storage platform. In addition, the company provides enterprise-class security, storage efficiency, and virtualization, which have resulted in flexible storage architectures for content repositories, active archives, and media-streaming deployments.
Strategic relationships with major and emerging content-management partners provide real value to sports leagues and franchises through hub-and-spoke architectures designed for managing, migrating, archiving, and delivering media content efficiently and securely.
NetApp technology will also be demonstrated in the IBM booth (N5823) across from the NetApp meeting room. IBM and NetApp have an OEM agreement through which NetApp technology is sold by IBM, IBM business partners, and IBM Global Services under the IBM Systems Storage N series brand.
