BFI Named Independent Teleport Operator of the Year by WTA

Broadcast Facilities, Inc. (BFI), a media services company, received World Teleport Association’s Independent Teleport Operator of the Year. The award is presented to organizations that have demonstrated excellence in Teleport operations, development and technology. BFI was recognized for its achievements at the 2010 Teleport Awards for Excellence Ceremony and Luncheon on March 16 during SATELLITE 2010 in Maryland.

“WTA congratulates Broadcast Facilities, Inc. on becoming the 2010 Independent Teleport Operator of the Year,” says WTA Executive Director Robert Bell.  “In 2006 Crawford Communications, now part of BFI, was honored with this same award. Being part of an award-winning team for a second time is a testament to the company’s dedication to customer support, leading-edge services, and determination to remain a leader in the teleport industry.”

WTA and its award committee selected BFI based on the outstanding operation of the company’s broadcast hubs in Atlanta (Crawford Communications) and Los Angeles (Andrita Media Center).

“BFI is honored to be the recipient of this prestigious award,” said President and COO of BFI Bill Tillson. “To be named by our peers as Independent Teleport Operator of the Year truly reflects our commitment to our clients as well as the hard work of our colleagues.”
