The Mtn. Announces 2010 Football Schedule

The Mtn. – MountainWest Sports Network in conjunction with the Mountain West Conference has announced its football telecast schedule for 2010.  The slate once again includes 30 games featuring Mountain West Conference teams over the 13-week season. All 30 games telecast by The Mtn. will be produced in HD.

Mountain West Conference football kicks off on The Mtn. beginning Sept. 4 with the Rocky Mountain Showdown, featuring Colorado and Colorado State at INVESCO Field at Mile High in Denver, CO.

Other non-conference schedule highlights include Texas Tech and UTEP visiting New Mexico along with UNLV hosting Nevada.

Conference play on The Mtn. begins Sept. 11 when UNLV travels to Utah. The Mtn. will also be the television home for traditional Mountain West Conference rivalry games: Colorado State at Air Force on Oct. 9, Colorado State at Wyoming on Nov. 20, and BYU at Utah (simulcast on CBS C HD) on Nov. 27.

All games begin no earlier than 12 p.m. MT with late games kicking off no later than 8 p.m. MT.  Currently, the schedule incorporates at least five triple-header Saturdays and six double-headers on select weekends.

Every week, Mountain West Football Saturday begins one-hour prior to kickoff of the first game of the day, previewing the day’s upcoming action along with in-depth features and stories.  Pre- and post-game shows are part of most telecasts, while Halftime Live will be part of all 30 games.

A dedicated football edition of The Mountain View airs Friday nights at 7 p.m. MT while The Mountain Cap brings viewers all the scores and highlight from across the Conference every Saturday night at 11 p.m. MT.
