CSVS Keynoter Greg Shaheen: Logistically, 96 Teams is Best Fit

Greg Shaheen, NCAA vice president and keynote speaker at the College Sports Video Summit, has outlined a detailed plan that includes the logistics and timing of a 96-team men’s basketball tournament. Although Shaheen insists that nothing has been decided, Shaheen has said that the NCAA looked at keeping the current 65-team field and expanding to 68 or 80 teams, but decided the bigger bracket was best fit logistically and financially.

The new super-sized tournament would be played during the same time frame as the current three-week tournament and include first-round byes for 32 teams. Read the full story here.
