The Philadelphia Eagles’ decision to trade long-time quarterback Donovan McNabb to the NFC East-rival Washington Redskins proved to be a massive story in both the Philadelphia and Washington D.C. markets. Reaping the benefits were local Comcast SportsNet websites, CSNPhilly.com and CSNWashington.com, which saw drastic jumps in page views and total visitors when news of the trade broke on Sunday, April 4. Overall on April 4 and April 5, page views for the sites were up a combined 52% and the number of visitors to the sites was up 31%.
