Fresno Grizzlies Tap Into Daktronics LED Tech

The Fresno Grizzlies, a minor league baseball team that plays in Chukchansi Park, have added a Daktronics light emitting diode (LED) integrated video display system. Two new displays, installed into the existing structure, were designed, manufactured and installed by Daktronics.
“These exciting additions to Chukchansi Parks are absolute game-changers when it comes to our ability to deliver even more entertainment and information to our fans,” Grizzlies Senior Vice President of Marketing Scott Carter says. “The new video boards will certainly enhance our already stellar ballpark experience and add a new dimension to this phenomenal facility.”
The larger display measures 18 feet high by 24 feet wide and features Daktronics latest video technology with 20 mm pixel spacing. It is capable of showing live video and instant replays, as well as animations, statistics and advertisements. The secondary board, which replaces an old incandescent matrix display, measures 10 feet high by nearly 30 feet wide. The secondary board also uses the latest Daktronics design, but with 26 mm pixel spacing. Together these displays provide more opportunities for showcasing sponsors and sharing important game information.
“The Grizzlies have chosen the latest LED video technology that incorporates picture contrast enhancement, multiple levels of protection from the elements and a more robust cabinet design with an improved ventilation system,” says Daktronics Sales Representative Ian White. “The 20 mm pixel display will provide some of the crispest and clearest pictures in all of minor league baseball. The experience at Chukchansi Park will definitely improve, especially for baseball fans that enjoy the detailed statistical information the displays are capable of showing.”
Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with minimal maintenance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
