PMTV Joins KC Productions, Carr-Hughes for Bellator MMA Events

PMTV has been contracted to provide HD satellite uplink and transmission management services for the Bellator Mixed Martial Arts series. The rapidly growing mixed martial arts group Bellator Fighting Championships recently announced a national broadcast agreement that will see their programming air on three major networks – NBC, Fox SportsNet, and Telemundo. Network negotiations for this agreement were coordinated by Carr-Hughes Productions and KC Productions who will together oversee all television production for the series.

Programming began airing April 8, with 24 Thursday Night LIVE shows on Fox SportsNet, plus highlight programming airing late Saturday nights on both NBC and Telemundo, the latter in Spanish language. It represents a major production challenge for the Emmy Award-winning Carr-Hughes and KC Productions teams, as the single event involves three different programs on three different networks, in two languages, over the course of three days, all in HD.

“We have a great challenge every week and need to succeed every week,” says KC Productions unit production manager Harvey Rubin. “We turned to PMTV to help us with the hard stuff. They are the best and that’s what we need. For 18 years, PMTV has enabled our success on projects big and small. Their commitment is to service; their expertise is valuable.”

PMTV’s services for Bellator MMA include booking the transmission network, providing satellite transponder space segment, Telco services, a fully redundant HD KU Uplink truck with 8 channels of embedded SDI feeds to Carr-Hughes post production facilities and live HD transmission to Fox SportsNet Houston, as well as coordination with the various downlink and fiber distribution facilities.

PMTV provides Production and Transmission services for events worldwide, including multi-country pay per view and international broadcast sporting events, corporate TV productions, and entertainment shows.  Visit PMTV at
