Winners of 2010 College Sports Media Awards Announced

National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and Sports Video Group (SVG) Recognize Excellence in College Video Production
ATLANTA, June 8, 2010  — The winners of the 2010 College Sports Media Awards (CSMA), a competition recognizing excellence in video production at all levels of college sports, have been announced by event sponsors the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and the Sports Video Group (SVG).

The winners, which were announced today at the College Sports Video Summit in Atlanta, represent outstanding college sports video productions from campuses across the country as well as commercial collegiate sports videos produced by major television networks and advertising agencies.

Awards were presented in three categories:  Collegiate 1 – Division 1 football; Collegiate 2 – All other schools;  Corporate/Media – Broadcasters and other commercial media organizations.  The 2010 College Sports Video of the Year Award was presented to the University of Oregon for their special feature, 2009 Football Season Highlight video.

Collegiate 1
Sony Award for Best Live Game or Event:
Fairfield University Men’s Basketball vs. Rider College (Fairfield University)
Special Feature:  University of Oregon 2009 Football Season Highlights (University of Oregon)
Outstanding Promotional Video or Campaign: “Heart,” The Pre-Game Speech (University of Miami, Florida)

Collegiate 2
Best Live Game or Event:
Southland Conference Football, McNeese State vs. S.F. Austin (Southland Conference)
Special Feature: Pure Hockey (St. Cloud State University)
Outstanding Promotional Video or Campaign: University of Dayton Men’s Basketball Pre-Season Top 25 (University of Dayton)

Corporate Media
Best Live Game or Event:
NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Game, Butler vs. Duke (CBS Sports)
Special Feature: Jake Olson (ESPN)
Outstanding Promotional Video or Campaign: College Baseball World Series Championship (ESPN)
