XOS Vault To Manage, Distribute 40 Years of NACDA History

The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) has announced plans to implement XOS Vault from XOS Digital. The NACDA Vault will be utilized to preserve, manage, and distribute the association’s content dating back more than 40 years.

The NACDA Vault will allow association members to search an online content library of events from NACDA’s history.  With this new technology, NACDA will be able to index and archive its history from 1965 through today. Once content is ingested into the NACDA Vault, the information can be saved and grouped to link multiple photos, videos, releases, etc. to the same event.

“With the ongoing changes to technology, it’s a must that NACDA stay on the cutting edge to keep our members informed of what is available,” says NACDA President Randy Spetman, director of athletics at Florida State University.   “XOS Digital offers a quality product that not only enables our institutions to preserve historical data, but also monetize that data to create a new revenue stream.”

NACDA plans to include a wide variety of still shots from its shows and events, media guides and collateral, and some video (such as the Pigskin classic and Kickoff Classics). The NACDA Vault will aim to capture the collective history of NACDA, NACMA (National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators) and NAADD (National Association of Athletic Development Directors).  Long term, as it starts creating new events and content, the NACDA Vault will allow the association to publish those historical and current archives together.

XOS Digital has developed three branded options for its proprietary digital asset management system – XOS Hosted Vault, XOS Hybrid Vault and XOS Campus Vault.  The XOS Hosted Vault resides at the XOS Digital Data Center in Orlando, FL, and stores countless hours of digitized assets. As an extension of the XOS Hosted Vault, the XOS Hybrid Vault enables local capture and live ingest ability on campus while providing the same data storage and security of the XOS Hosted Vault. The XOS Campus Vault is a “turnkey” digital asset management system that provides complete asset management from ingest to distribution directly onsite for teams and media partners to access.

“We’re pleased to partner with NACDA to provide its members with an opportunity to easily search for digital assets that represent the film, videos and photos from an event,” says Randy Eccker, co-founder, XOS Digital.  “NACDA has a rich history of exciting moments and now the NACDA Vault can make them available in the most efficient means possible.”
