Chyron’s MOOV Serves Up Wimbledon Graphics for BBC

UK’s broadcast graphics company “MOOV” utilized Chyron HyperX graphics infrastructure for this year’s Wimbledon tennis championship on the BBC.

“MOOV” is the first graphics operation in the UK deploy Chyron’s newest software version, Lyric PRO 8. Version 8 enabled “MOOV” to easily create “Seeds Boards” with corresponding animations before they actually knew the winners. MOOV also wrote a new results control interface to the HyperX’s that uses XML updates from IBM.

“We have used Chyron graphic systems in the past for various sporting events with tremendous success,” says MOOV Managing Director Duncan Foot said. “With the added features of Lyric PRO 8 and the power, flexibility and speed of the HyperX, we knew that it was the best choice for such a high profile event like Wimbledon.
