James Leighton To Lead Masstech’s Global Support, Professional Services

Masstech Group has appointed James Leighton as Director of Global Support and Professional Services. A 30 year veteran of the broadcast industry, Jim will lead a team of engineers providing Masstech’s customers with global engineering and programming support and development of advanced broadcast workflows.

“Jim is a great fit to take over Global Support and Professional Services at Masstech,” says Joe French, Masstech Group CEO and president. “His extensive exposure to and command of every aspect of the broadcast business make him a tremendous addition to our team. Jim represents everything we were seeking for this role: a deep history of working in the broadcast industry, an appreciation and understanding of our technology, great communication skills and a passion to provide our clients with the best support possible.”

Leighton’s previous experience includes director of marketing at Omneon Video Networks, program manager for Sony Electronics Inc. and most recently development partner manager for Harris Corporation. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, with a Bachelor of Science, Mr. Leighton majored in Communications and Broadcasting and in Business Management.
