Sportvision Follows Up Fox Sports Extension With SVG Sponsorship

The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome its newest, corporate sponsor, Sportvision. The sports-data company’s offerings have been deployed by the NFL, MLB, NBA, NASCAR, NHL, IRL, PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, NCAA, MLS, NTRA, and other sports events on-air and online.

“We have followed SVG since its inception and have seen it evolve, and we are thrilled to sign on as a sponsor,” says President/COO Mike Jakob. “Its mission to ‘advance the creation, production, and distribution of sports content’ is increasingly relevant to our goal of capturing a digital record of an event and creating compelling products for delivery across multiple media platforms.”

In July, Sportvision extended its partnership with the Fox Sports Media Group (FSMG), encompassing all NFL games through the 2013-14 season, all MLB games through the 2013 season, and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races through the 2014 season, covering telecasts on Fox Sports, Speed and Fox Sports Net’s 19 regional sports networks.

As provider of the Yellow 1st and Ten Line to Fox since 1999, Sportvision will continue to supply the yellow line and graphic enhancements — including Down & Distance, Red Zone, Line of Scrimmage Line, Video in Perspective — for all NFL on Fox telecasts (regular season and playoffs) through the 2013-14 season.

The company’s RACEf/x System will continue to be incorporated into coverage of all Sprint Cup races and on Fox Sports and Speed’s on-track NASCAR programming.

MLB coverage will be highlighted by the PITCHf/x pitch-tracking system, which measures every pitch thrown and generates comprehensive data used by analysts to enhance television broadcasts and Internet and wireless applications.

Sportvision has won nine Emmy Awards for its products, including three for its signature broadcast enhancements, the virtual Yellow 1st and Ten Line and K Zone, and three for its advanced-media work with NASCAR. In addition, it was named one of Fast Company magazine’s 50 Most Innovative Companies in the World.
