College Basketball Programming Roundup: ESPN, CBS College Boost Coverage for 2010-11

The 2010-11 ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ABC, ESPN3.com, ESPN Mobile TV, ESPN Regional Television and ESPN FULL COURT men’s college basketball schedule is comprised of a network record of approximately 1,200 games. The schedule includes more than 900 games on ESPN3.com (approximately 50 original productions) and simulcasts of every ESPN and ESPN2 telecast and ESPN FULL COURT pay-per-view game. ESPN Mobile TV will simulcast approximately 200 contests. A record 250 games will air on ESPNU.

The slate kicks off Monday, Nov. 8 on ESPNU and ESPN3.com with the 2K Sports Classic Benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer. On ESPN, the third annual College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon celebrating the start of the season will feature 12 live games in 24 hours on Tuesday, Nov. 16.

The ESPN networks will combine to present approximately 250 women’s college basketball games during the 2010-11 season, including all 63 games of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship in March. ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU’s schedule features 64 games during the regular season and 13 conference tournaments for 85 total telecasts. ESPN3.com will simulcast all of the ESPN and ESPN2 games.

CBS College Sports Network returns to the hardwood for the 2010-11 college basketball season, with broadcasts of over 140 games featuring top men’s and women’s teams from the Mountain West Conference, Conference USA, Atlantic 10, Big East, Patriot League, West Coast Conference and Division II.

The Network will once again serve as the home of Conference USA basketball, broadcasting 30 games, as well as the Conference USA Men’s Championship Quarterfinal and Semifinal tournament games, and the Women’s Semifinals and Championship. The Network also showcases the Mountain West Conference Men’s, Patriot League Men’s and Atlantic 10 Men’s and Women’s Championship Semifinal tournament games.
