Polar Mobile Named Promising New Company of the Year at CNMAs

At the The Canadian New Media Awards (CNMAs) ceremony this week, Polar Mobile was honored with the Promising New Company of the Year award.

“2010 has been a great year for Polar as we experienced explosive growth in many areas of our business,” says Kunal Gupta, CEO, Polar Mobile. “Our team’s dedication, commitment and hard work this year alone have shown that a Canadian company can go global in a short period of time”. He goes on to add, “The other award winners and finalists are all impressive in their own right and last night we were privileged to share the spotlight with many great people and companies”.

The award was sponsored by RBC Royal Bank and the winner was chosen based on their vision, two-year game plan as well as their enthusiastic teams. Bitstrips Inc., Entrinsic and Trend Hunter were part of the 2010 finalists for the same category. Now in its 10th year, the CNMAs are considered the leading forum for the convergence of all forms of digital media.

“We received more entries than any other year from almost every province in Canada, and we’re thrilled to be recognizing such a diverse range of companies and individuals,” says Jory Groberman, Executive Director of nextMEDIA.
