Sensio To Expand 3D Offering at CES 2011
Story Highlights
At CES 2011, Sensio Technologies plans to unveil a stable of new solutions for 3D-enabled home entertainment. Sensio will showcase offerings that improve the 3D experience for the end-user by completing the 3D delivery chain. The company’s CES 2011 booth will feature immersive demonstrations of these solutions that allow visitors to engage with Sensio products.
“Moving toward the Sensio vision of 3D for everyone, accessible everywhere, we are launching a range of solutions that will fill the holes in the 3D delivery chain and stimulate adoption of the medium,” says Nicholas Routhier, Sensio President and CEO. “Through this multifaceted commitment to the success of 3D, our partners, and consumers, we’ll continue to strengthen the position of 3D as a business reality.”
At its booth, Sensio will highlight enabling products that support the 3D viewing experience in the home. The company’s solutions will also address the question of content provision, the major barrier to widespread 3D adoption, delivered to consumer electronics products in Sensio’s high-fidelity format. According to Sensio, these products will present a distinctive offering for home entertainment device manufacturers.
Sensio® 3D technology enables broadcasting of 3D content over the conventional 2D infrastructure via cable, satellite, or over IP, while providing superior quality to generic frame-compatible formats. According to the company, Sensio 3D delivers “visually-lossless” 3D images so faithful to the originally captured images that the difference is “imperceptible to the viewer.”
