ANC Sports Promotes Mark Stross to CTO

ANC Sports Enterprises has promoted Mark Stross to Chief Technology Officer responsible for the continued evolution of the company’s patent-pending VisionSOFT operating system and new technology development.

Stross joined ANC Sports in 1999 and has spearheaded the creation of ANC’s software systems, including VisionSOFT which is the first 3D interface in sports controlling more than 10 digital displays through one consol. VisionSOFT is also the only control system in the industry to output uncompressed files to its displays which presents fans with the purest images possible. Stross’ leadership has also led to partnerships with leading LED manufacturers while combining the intellectual properties of ScorePAD, StatusPro and Playable TV into advanced software application for sports.

“Mark’s technology vision has helped ANC create the most dynamic signage software system in sports,” says Jerry Cifarelli, president and chief executive officer of ANC Sports Enterprises. “In his new role, Mark will play a pivotal role in ANC’s future commitment to developing and acquiring new technologies that will further enhance the fan experience while increasing revenues for our team partners.”

ANC is currently beta testing a 64-bit platform which will be implemented across all of the company’s products. The 64-bit system create a close relationship with the latest Microsoft technologies.  Additionally, Stross has spearheaded the restructuring of ANC’s technology division, enabling the company’s development team and signage solutions.

“ANC’s new structure creates the most dynamic technology team in sports which will enhance our commitment to developing revolutionary technologies,” said Stross. “Our talented programming staff, being led by former Microsoft Group Program Manager Bill Andreozzi, will be able to provide reliable, scalable and customizable solutions to our clients which will redefine game-day presentations.”

Andreozzi will become ANC’s SVP of software development, acting as the lead architect in the creation and development of ANC’s software systems. His sports career includes designing and implementing the software technologies at many of the professional sporting venues including Qwest Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks.  Formerly working as a Group Program Manager at Microsoft on product supportability and strategic business planning; Andreozzi will apply this experience to ANC’s overall solution of products.

Andreozzi will oversee an experienced team of software developers that includes ScorePAD founder Doug Hines. ANC recently finalized its agreement to purchase ScorePAD’s Major League Baseball scoring platform, which will provide MLB venues advanced statistical displays.
