UK's Hunt: 'ITV could scrap regional news'

DigitalSpy.com reports that UK Culture secretary Jeremy Hunt has said that ITV could pull out of providing regional news coverage after his new local TV channel comes into operation.

Hunt announced plans to create a new national television channel for delivering local TV services to 10 or 12 major cities in the UK.
