Ball State Sports Link Expands into Radio

Ball State Sports Link, the nation’s first fully-immersive sports media and production program, has partnered with WCRD 91.3 FM, effective Feb. 1.

Ball State Sports Link provides daily BSU sports coverage and production across many platforms, including television, radio, online, and mobile outlets.

The new partnership now brings official “Sports Link Radio on WCRD” coverage of over 50 live Ball State Athletics events through May. With the already scheduled 16 major television productions this semester, Ball State Sports Link will now be responsible for over 75 live Ball State sports productions in the next four months.

In addition, “Sports Link Radio on WCRD” will also produce weekly coaches shows and other special programming throughout the semester.

All 75-plus Ball State Sports Link productions – including men’s and women’s basketball, men’s volleyball, baseball and softball – will be available online through ballstatesports.com, wcrd.net, on-demand and through Sports Link’s social media outlets on Facebook and Twitter.
The Sports Link student staff also expands through the new WCRD partnership,
bringing the total number of students in Ball State Sports Link to 29 in 2011.  Of those, 21 are earning academic credit through the program.
