Snell Pegs Norman Rouse as Market Development Manager

Snell has appointed Norman Rouse as market development manager. Rouse is tasked with buidling visibility for Snell in the global broadcast and media marketplaces.

“Norman is an ideal choice to serve as Snell’s chief evangelist,” says Simon Derry, CEO of Snell. “He brings 25 years of experience working with some of the top brands in the industry. Norman also has a keen understanding of how broadcasters utilize technology to solve real-world challenges in response to their ever-changing marketplace.”

Rouse joins Snell from Sony Professional, where he served as senior solutions business manager responsible for defining, developing, and delivering enterprise-wide solutions to all sectors of the A/V marketplace. Prior to Sony Professional, Rouse was group marketing manager at Quantel, where he played a key role in strategic marketing and positioning for the company’s Stereo3D and sQ/Newsbox server-based production systems. He also served for eight years in numerous product management and marketing roles for Sony Broadcast and Professional Europe, and was involved in the launch of the now-famous D3/5 and DVCPRO formats while at Panasonic Broadcast Europe.

“It’s a pleasure to be joining one of the most respected names in the broadcast and media sector. Snell has a tremendous portfolio of technology innovation and product excellence,” says Rouse. “I’m looking forward to helping raise the company’s visibility in our traditional markets such as live production, playout, post and central operations, as well as some exciting new sectors that we’re expanding into in the year ahead. At the same time, we’ll be focused on positioning Snell as a thought leader and industry visionary — the ideal partner to lead our customers into the next era of broadcast production and content distribution.”
