Miranda Completes First Integration Phase with Recently-Acquired OmniBus Systems

Miranda Technologies has completed the first phase of its integration with recently acquired OmniBus Systems, the IT-based automated playout specialist.

“Overall, this integration process has been exceptionally smooth, and this reflects the widespread understanding of the logic and benefits behind the acquisition among our employees and customers”, says Strath Goodship, CEO at Miranda. “Our management team now includes multiple former OmniBus Systems employees in key leadership roles, and the integration of our playout solutions is already well advanced, especially with respect to enhanced graphics and monitoring capabilities”.

In the new organization, Ian Fletcher has been appointed to the position of Chief Technology Officer – Workflow and Playout. He was formerly CTO at OmniBus Systems, he will now be responsible for the development of the iTX automated playout system, as well as the graphics range.

Mike Oldham, previously CEO at OmniBus Systems, is now General Manager – Playout Automation, Americas at Miranda. He will oversee Miranda’s new Denver office, and will also play a key role in major account management.

In Europe, Greg Hoskin will perform a similar role as General Manager Playout Automation, EMEA, based in the Loughborough, UK office. He will also lead Miranda’s European sales engineering team. He was formerly Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing – EMEA & APAC, at OmniBus Systems.

The sales engineering team in the Americas will be led by John Wadle, who has been appointed Director – Sales Engineering and Technology. He was formerly Vice President of Technology at OmniBus Systems.

Miranda also announced that it has appointed Ray Bryan to the position of Vice President of Operations, EMEA, based in Loughborough, UK. Previously based at Miranda’s Grass Valley (California) office, Ray will focus on strengthening the European service and support organization.
