NAB 2011: Audio-Technica Slates a Profusion of New Products

Audio-Technica plans to introduce a variety of products at the NAB Show in April. The AT2022 condenser microphone is designed for general stereo recording and field sound capture. Two unidirectional condenser capsules in an X/Y configuration pivot to allow narrow (90°) or wide (120°) stereo operation. The capsules also fold flat for storage and transportation, and battery operation allows use with most recording devices.

The BP893 MicroEarset offers inconspicuous placement with clear, natural vocal pickup. Its omnidirectional miniature condenser capsule provides pickup tailored for natural vocal reproduction, with audio reproduction similar to that of a high-quality lavalier mic.

With three cardioid condenser elements in a single housing, the phantom-powered ES963 mic is a versatile tool for surface-mount installations. Levers on the microphone base allow easy reorientation of two elements for 360° or 300° coverage.

The new mtu301 bodypack transmitter is the latest product for A-T’s SpectraPulse wireless system. SpectraPulse, a completely new application of Ultra Wideband technology, provides 14 simultaneous channels that operate flawlessly without frequency hunting/coordination or “white space” issues.
