CSN Philadelphia Announces Round of Promotions

Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia has announced the promotion of several executives throughout the network.  CSN Philadelphia’s news director Michelle Murray was promoted to VP of News Programming and Kim Stewart has been named Director of Marketing, while five additional CSN Philadelphia employees were promoted to senior level positions.

CSN Philadelphia has promoted the following to senior level positions: Shawn Oleksiak, Senior Executive Producer of Live Events; Brad Nau, Senior Executive Producer of Special Projects; Dave Finocchiaro – Senior Director of Engineering; Cristin Dunn, Senior Marketing Coordinator; Lisa Iamurri, Senior Accounting Administrator.

Murray oversees all areas of CSN Philadelphia’s news programs including “SportsNite,” “Daily News Live,” as well as all pre and postgame programs and specials. Prior to coming to CSN Philadelphia Philadelphia in 2005, she formed the newsrooms for the launch of SportsNet New York in 2006 and CSN Philadelphia Chicago in 2004, and served as news director for both networks.  She also served as news director at WCBS-TV in New York City, where coverage of the 9/11 tragedy aired nationally on CBS affiliates and earned an Edward R. Murrow award from the Radio-Television News Directors Association.  She helped launch the station’s Middle East bureau and coordinated the production of BET’s nightly news.  She held senior-level producing positions with FOX News Channel and MTV News.  A Philadelphia native, Murray served as executive producer of news at KYW-TV in Philadelphia, and worked for the Philadelphia Flyers.  She is a graduate of the University of Hawaii.

Stewart joined CSN Philadelphia in 2005 as Marketing Manager and has moved up the ranks to Director of Marketing.  In her new role, she will oversee the network’s new branding campaign and take a lead role in planning and implementing the advertising campaigns and digital initiatives.  In addition, she will continue to oversee the marketing relationships with CSN Philadelphia’s team partners including the Flyers, Sixers, Phillies and Eagles.  Prior to coming to CSN Philadelphia, Stewart was an event manager for the American Cancer Society’s Coaches vs. Cancer program.  She is a graduate of Penn State University, where she is an active member of their alumni association as well as the Shane Victorino Foundation.
