NAB 2011: Expands Media, Communication Capabilities

Just in time for the NAB Show,, the search engine for media and entertainment, has added new media capabilities and new communication tools. profiles can now include photo galleries, HD video, maps, and PDF documents. Among the PDF documents that can be attached are résumés, marketing literature, and rate sheets. Users can display multiple photos on their profile, such as shots from the set, client/employee photos, and behind-the-scenes images. They can also upload HD video: demo/show reels, commercials, shorts, trailers, bumpers/openers, corporate/educational and music videos. And the Website offers location-based software for individuals to map vendor locations.

New communication tools include My Account, Inbox, Recommendations, and social-media integration (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, IMDB, and Vimeo). My Account allows users to manage all ProductionHUB content from one location. Inbox provides direct profile-to-profile communication between registered users. Users can give and receive recommendations on production companies, vendors, or people they have worked with.

Password must contain the following:

A lowercase letter

A capital (uppercase) letter

A number

Minimum 8 characters
