Golf Channel Enlists Illumination Dynamics for Lighting, Power

The union of Golf Channel and NBC Sports under the NBC Sports Group moniker is only weeks old, but a variety of production changes are already underway. However, one aspect has remained as Golf Channel will utilize the same lighting and power team that they have used for many shows for more than seven years —Illumination Dynamics (ID).

On Feb. 25, Golf Channel debuted State of the Game Live, a panel discussion featuring Johnny Lee Miller, Nick Faldo, and other prominent analysts that addressed the top issues surrounding the game of golf. ID provided redundant power and lighting to The Golf Channel for State of the Game Live to ensure there were no interruptions during the live feed. Small footprint, twin-pack redundant power is a signature powering technique of Illumination Dynamics and one that makes them continually reliable.

Along with power, The Golf Channel used the ID team’s lighting expertise for the new program, hiring ID’s crews and lighting services as they have in previous years for The Golf Channel’s on-location studio shows.
