Miami Dolphins, Txtstation Look to Connect with Fans Through New Partnership

The Miami Dolphins and Txtstation Mobile Marketing have announced a mobile marketing partnership for the upcoming 2011-12 NFL season. Designed to help the team foster closer relationships with their fan base, the campaign involves a dedicated vanity short code exclusive to the Dolphins, in-stadium graphics and mobile tactics, online interaction, and a variety of mobile text clubs for ongoing communication.

“Our fans are incredibly tech savvy and always thirsty for new and unique content. Our partnership with Txtstation will allow us to reach our fans through their most personal device, their cell phones,” saYS Wayne Partello, Senior Director of Content and Creative with the Miami Dolphins.“We’re ecstatic that our fans will have the opportunity to engage in a two-way dialogue with us. They can now send us messages in addition to receiving the instant news, offers and videos we have offered in the past.”

The Dolphins will be delivering their messages on an exclusive vanity short code, 347347. This code was chosen in honor of legendary Hall of Fame coach Don Shula’s record 347 career wins.

Fans who sign up to receive Miami Dolphins messaging can select from a variety of members-only content options, including daily videos, cheerleader pictures and content, exclusive merchandise and ticket offers, and breaking news and updates on the team. Fans can join the Miami Dolphins Textclub powered by AT&T, by texting DOLPHINS to 347347 or visiting the Dolphins’ website at Dolphins.com.

Inside Sun Life Stadium, fans will be able to interact with the stadium board in real time, compliments of Txtstation’s proprietary technology which delivers HD-quality graphics that respond to incoming text messages.  The Dolphins and its sponsors can then use the automated bounce back message to encourage opt-ins to its mobile clubs, share special offers, or simply thank fans for participating.

Additionally, fans will be able to text The Finsiders show with their questions or comments every day from 5-7 during the team’s live show that airs on 940 WINZ in South Florida and in HD video on www.TheFinsiders.com

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Dolphins next season,” says Michael Falato, Vice President of Sales at Txtstation. “With mobile marketing becoming an integral part of all digital advertising strategies, we’re anxious to help the Dolphins build up a dedicated subscriber base, and deliver their campaigns via mobile devices.”
