I-MOVIX, Fletcher Sports Team Up on Slo-Mo Training Sessions

On March 22, I-MOVIX and Fletcher Sports organized a full-day technical training session for broadcasters working with the latest generation ultra slow-motion systems developed for broadcast applications.

The event was held at Fletcher Chicago headquarters and brought together about 20 OB Truck specialists working for television networks such as ESPN, FOX, and Comcast.

The training session was comprised of a presentation by David Bourgeois, CTO and SprintCam Vvs HD Project Manager at I-MOVIX, and several workshops organized with the collaboration of Dan Grainge (VP Sports, Fletcher Chicago) and Ceon Forte (Sports and Entertainment Division, Fletcher Chicago). The topics covered included the evolution of fully integrated ultra slow-motion systems since 2008, the specific functionalities of each component of the Phantom-powered SprintCam Vvs HD system – i.e., the camera, the camera control unit (CCU), the slow-motion remote and the operational control panel (OCP) – as well as their connections.

The session also addressed the main differences between regular cameras and the SprintCam Vvs HD ultra slow-motion turnkey system as well as the advantages of SprintCam technology developed by I-MOVIX with Fletcher Sports for 2D and 3D ultra-motion capture.
