NAB 2011: Ericsson Targets Multiscreen Experience wiht New Media Delivery Management System

At NAB, Ericsson will launch the Media Delivery Management System, a successor of the Emmy award-winning OpenStream Digital Services Platform. The Media Delivery Management System is a new, purpose-built software technology with a highly-scalable, fault-tolerant system that includes a number of enterprise management features for flexible and adaptable service introduction and management.

The rapidly rising demand for video on multiple platforms presents new challenges to service providers; not only in the acquisition and processing of high quality content but also in the management and efficient delivery of large volumes of video, media, and audio across multiple platforms to multiple devices. The Media Delivery Management System is an attempt to meet those challenges.
