MultiDyne Demos New KVM-6000 Optical Transport

MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems introduces the KVM-6000, a keyboard, video, and mouse fiber transport system. This single-fiber solution provides an uncompressed video path supporting RGB-HV, DVI-D, and HDMI, along with multiple USB ports, data, and two channels of audio.

The KVM-6000 may be used as a standalone device or rack-mounted in a 1RU panel. It will operate over multimode or single-mode fiber.

“The KVM-6000’s advanced video-circuit design allows the workstation user to utilize a standard UXGA monitor or take advantage of larger HD LCD and plasma displays since the source signal (from the computer) may be transported to the workstation in RGB-HV, HDMI, or DVI-D,” said Fred Scott, VP of sales and business development for MultiDyne. “The system is also capable of crossconverting between signal types.”

The KVM-6000 provides a loop-through feed at the computer for local monitoring. Multiple USB ports are provided to extend keyboard, mouse, and other peripherals.

MultiDyne provides a seven-year warranty on its core product line.
