GlobeCast, NETIA Head East for CommunicAsia

GlobeCast and NETIA (stand 1U1-07) will be exhibiting together at CommunicAsia, June 21-24, at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. The two companies will jointly display products and services for broadcasters, content creators, and other players in the content value chain.

The theme of the stand at CommunicAsia will be technologies for multiplatform delivery, encompassing the media management aspect of handling large volumes of content, as well as the methods used for global delivery of this content. Special emphasis will be put on the need to “regionalize” content for different markets around the world. Demonstrations of the Content Management System (CMS) and Web TV will be among the solutions highlighted at the stand.

Playout Services and the Content Management System
GlobeCast and NETIA will highlight the ability of broadcasters to ingest content locally, manage their media, and playout content in several regions of the world. The main tool for these tasks is the new and improved Content Management System (CMS). NETIA’s CMS allows customers to streamline all of their production processes globally thanks to simple workflows and task automation. The new software suite also allows users to connect all of their partners and vendors within a single production ecosystem, simplifying the sharing and managing of media assets. Users can now manage all of the processes within the production environment from editing through post and distribution with one interface. The new Web-based interface, built on Microsoft Silverlight technology, allows for more performance and greater security.

LIVE HD Sports and Major World News
GlobeCast delivers sporting and news events such as the ICC Cricket World Cup, Indian Premier League (IPL) Twenty20, and the upcoming London 2012 Olympic Games. The GlobeCast crew was also deployed in Libya, the earthquake in Japan, and was onsite at the royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.

Web TV
GlobeCast is known for distributing to satellite and cable platforms around the world, but now broadcast clients can distribute their content to a myriad of devices via the Web. Live demonstrations at CommunicAsia will show the simplicity of this process.
