Azzurro Systems names Berg Director of Technology & Senior Solutions Architect

Azzurro Systems Integration has hired Paul Berg as Director of Technology & Senior Solutions Architect, effective April 1, 2011.

An industry veteran, Paul has more than 25 years of experience in Cable & Broadcast television as a Solutions Architect, Technical and Engineering Director, Senior Project Manager and Consultant. During the course of his career, he has held top level positions at Ascent Media Systems & Technology Services and Fox Television Stations. Most recently, he served as a Senior Director for the Solutions Architect Group at Ascent Media from 2007-2011. His responsibilities were to act as the senior technical authority within the group to develop engineering solutions and strategies tailored to specific sales opportunities.

Prior to this position, Paul was Senior Project Manager and Director of Engineering for Ascent from 1999-2007. He managed a full time staff of 45 in multiple locations and oversaw staff development as well as client training. His responsibilities additionally included publishing white papers on a broad range of technical broadcast issues.

Paul was awarded Broadcast Engineering Excellence Awards in 2002 for Technology Innovation at NY1, and for and New Studio Technology in both 2006 and 2007 for his work at Discovery and Lifetime Networks respectively.
