Thai Channel 7 Rolls Out Second Phase of Upgrades with Vizrt

Vizrt, a provider of content production tools for the digital media industry, announced a deal with Channel 7 from Thailand, worth THB 61 million (approximately USD 1.9 million).

“Vizrt is thrilled with Channel 7’s vote of confidence as the network moves into the second phase of its upgrades. This is a substantial purchase that will deepen the partnership between Channel 7 and Vizrt,” said Michael Namatinia, President of Vizrt APAC.

The follow-up sale provides the Thai public television channel with faster Virtual Studio Engine performance by increasing the number of Viz Engine renderers per camera tracking system to four. The increase provides greater depth to the network’s Viz Virtual Studio scenes. It also installs redundancy on the critical software points of Viz Virtual Studio cameras, Viz Graphic Hub central graphics database, and Viz Content Pilot content control system.

Channel 7 is the first major network customer in Thailand using Viz Reporter and the Viz Media Engine, which will allow the company to target new audiences on online content access devices.

The system was sold, delivered, and installed in Q2 and will go on-air for the upcoming Thai elections on July 3rd.
