Blackmagic Design’s ATEM 1M/E production switcher and ATEM 1M/E broadcast panel are currently being used by the Gotham Girls Roller Derby League for live, HD production of its 2011 matches. Each match generates a live video Webcast, which is streamed internationally on the Derby News Network portal, rebroadcast on NYC life (the flagship station of the official TV, radio, and online network of New York City), and distributed post-match on videos and DVDs.

Blackmagic Design’s DeckLink capture cards, launched in 2002, were used by Argentine broadcasters TyC Sports, Telefe, and Torneos y Competencias for the airing and playback of FIFA World Cup 2010 games and highlights.  As part of a tapeless workflow and in conjunction with XV-Tech’s SQUID broadcast-workflow software, Blackmagic Design’s capture and playback cards enabled all three broadcasters to record and play back both SD and HD audio, ingest feeds and integrate signals from the games for postproduction and playback, and allow future playback and editing.
