Marvel 3D Converter Turns 2D Video into Marvelous Anaglyphic 3D

Technabob.com reports that for those of us who purchased TVs without 3D capabilities, there’s pretty much not been a way to watch 3D content on these sets without buying a whole new set. This $60 gadget aims to change that, if not is a somewhat unusual way.
TVs require not just a higher scan rate to display content in 3D, but special built-in hardware to decode and handle 3D signals. However, Marvel Digital’s 3D converter box lets users of non-3D televisions watch content in 3D using old-school anaglyphic 3D technology. Instead of red and blue glasses, Marvel uses amber and blue glasses to view 3D content.
