NAB 2012: TASCAM To Showcase Hybrid Hard Disk Workstation

TASCAM will show its X-48mkII 48-Track Hybrid Hard Disk Workstation, a purpose-built hard disk recorder and computer-based digital audio workstation. The workstation features 1 TB internal hard drive, eSATA and USB interfaces, 48-hour continuous recording at 44.1kHz, 20-hour continuous recording at 96kHz, Dual-core Intel ATOM processor, and HDTV tri-level sync.

In addition, the workstation includes GUI for recording, mixing, editing, and metering HS-2 Solid State 2-Track Recorder, which allows for timecode DAT recorder replacement; SD and CF (Ultra DMA compatible) cards that can be used as recording media; up to 192kHz/24-bit Broadcast WAV file recording, BWF file format with iXML metadata, Multi-channel flash start, and dual slots allow two cards to be loaded and recorded simultaneously in mirror recording mode
