XOS Digital Acquires StratEdge Sports Analytics Service
XOS Digital purchased a cloud-based player analytics service from StratBridge LLC. The acquisition enables XOS to offer deep “big data” player analysis capabilities to new and prospective customers of the XOS Thunder HD Coaching Platform.
The StratEdge service will be rebranded as XOS ThunderCloud Analytics, the latest addition to the XOS Thunder HD Coaching Platform, and will be marketed to football, basketball, hockey, and soccer teams and conferences worldwide.
“XOS ThunderCloud Analytics is the ultimate digital recruiting and scouting experience, adding an interactive video element to what had been only data and written observations,” said Matthew Marolda, StratBridge CEO.
The new suite enables sports organizations to integrate video and player analysis so that coaches and front office personnel can now evaluate players more thoroughly. Unique capabilities within XOS ThunderCloud Analytics include: player profile “snapshots,” player comparisons, a proprietary “plays like” feature, and a player board for ranking players for drafts and free agency. Teams using XOS ThunderCloud Analytics can build customized scouting reports with more than 100,000 pieces of information to track players, teams, leagues and agents.
XOS ThunderCloud Analytics is available through the cloud as an add-on service to the XOS Thunder HD Coaching Platform, and does not require additional hardware or software.

StratBridge is known for its work with teams in the NFL, NBA and English Premier League. XOS will retain key members of the StratBridge team, including Marolda, to provide continuity for existing customers. Marolda, in addition to his XOS duties, will remain Chairman of StratBridge.
