Miranda to Feature Monitoring at BIRTV 2012

Belden Inc., a signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications company, announced that its Miranda brand will feature end-to-end workflow devices and integral technologies for studio and playout applications at BIRTV 2012, August 22-25 in Beijing, China, booth 8A11.

The Miranda booth will feature the Chinese debut of iControl, a video network management system, and EdgeVision, a richly featured multichannel Quality of Experience (QoE) monitoring system that provides high-performance edge monitoring. The integrated system is the most intelligent end-to-end video signal path and QoE monitoring package available in the industry today.

For a more in-depth look at iControl studio and playout monitoring options, a dedicated booth island includes a demonstration of iControl Playout Manager, a highly adapted system that can monitor all key stages of traditional or IT-based playout, including third party devices.

For master control room and smaller studio applications, Miranda is featuring the NVISION 8144 router. This 8RU router is a further extension of Miranda’s NVISION 8500 Enterprise Class router series, which offers advanced features such as redundant power supplies, control cards and crosspoints, in a rectangular 144 x 288 matrix.

For playout facilities, Miranda is featuring the NVISION 5100MC master control switching system, designed for manual intervention during live playout. When combined with any of Miranda’s NVISION routers, control panels or graphics co-processors, the NV5100 provides unparalleled multi-channel control, switching and channel branding capabilities.

Miranda’s iControl and EdgeVision integrate seamlessly with Miranda’s Kaleido-IP X300 IP multiviewer, which offers an easy transition from baseband to IP source monitoring. On show at BIRTV, the Kaleido-IP X300 provides the highest number of simultaneous video and audio program decodes available in the industry today, including up to 64 SD or 24 HD programs per 2RU frame.

Not forgetting those interested in stereoscopic 3D playout, Miranda is highlighting its 3Gbps/HD 3DX-3901 video processor, which on a single card delivers every essential stereoscopic 3D signal processing function including conversions, an array of display options and multi-rate 3Gbps/HD support.
