PlayOn! Sports Names Jay Sandhaus New Chief Technology Officer

PlayOn! Sports (PlayOn), the nation’s largest rights holder, producer, and distributor of high school sports events, announced that Jay Sandhaus has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer.  Sandhaus will lead PlayOn’s technology group while contributing to ongoing product development efforts.

Sandhaus was most recently the senior director of content management and social media technology at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., where he created the publishing platform for Turner’s digital properties, including CNN.com, NBA.com, and NCAA.com. He was also responsible for the technology products used by CNN to cover national elections.

Prior to joining Turner, he created software for the foreign exchange desk at Goldman Sachs. Sandhaus also worked at Sportvision, where he led development of Emmy-award winning projects for the PGA Tour and NASCAR.com.

He has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Columbia University, and lives in Atlanta with his wife and three children. Sandhaus is active in his community and serves on the board of the Candler Park Neighborhood Organization and the Mary Lin Education Foundation.
