Grass Valley Names Mike Oldham as President of the Americas Region

Grass Valley announced the appointment of Mike Oldham, as President of the Americas region.

Oldham, a 20-year veteran of broadcast technology, software, and Internet industries is a well-known and respected figure in the broadcast industry. He joins Grass Valley from FrontPoint Advisors LLC where he was managing director. Prior to this, he was the CEO of OmniBus Systems, which was acquired by Miranda Technologies. Before OmniBus, Oldham held COO positions with Encoda Systems, Matchlogic, and SafeRent.

Tim Mendoza also joins Grass Valley as Vice President of Marketing for the Americas reporting to Oldham.

Mendoza’s proven experience leading initiatives in software-based solutions will be a great asset as Grass Valley deploys new technology solutions to meet the evolving needs of customers. Mendoza served as a Media and Entertainment strategist and technology consultant with KPMG and Deloitte, as well as EVP of OmniBus Systems.

Oldham will initially focus his efforts on maintaining customer satisfaction and driving strategic growth in the Americas, encompassing the US, Canada, and Latin America. He is based in San Francisco and reports directly to Andreoli.

“I’m looking forward to working very closely with both Andy Jackson [SVP, North America Sales] and Rafael Castillo [SVP, Latin America and Caribbean] as they continue to successfully lead in their respective regions,” said Oldham. “Andy and Rafael have great teams in place that are focused on the success of their customers, as exemplified by Grass Valley’s continuing market share growth in North America and our stellar performance in LATAM.”

Alex Keighley, reporting to Jackson and based in the Burbank office, has joined Grass Valley as the Regional Vice President of West Coast Sales for the North America territory. Keighley most recently worked at Bitcentral as Vice President, Sales & Marketing. Prior to that, he served in a number of key sales and administration roles over five years at The Associated Press (UK), advancing to become regional director for the company’s rapidly expanding EMEA region.

Mike Wright, a long-time Grass Valley sales executive with a reputation for effectively managing operations, growing sales, and leading successful business development teams has been promoted to Vice President of Strategic Accounts within North America.

“Bringing Alex and Mike into these positions allows Grass Valley to increase its focus as a solutions partner for our customers,” said Oldham, “Mike’s background with Grass Valley makes him uniquely qualified to handle the company’s strategic accounts in North America, while Alex’s vast industry knowledge makes him the right choice to lead our West Coast Sales team.”  Mendoza and Wright will report to Oldham.
