Compiled by Brandon Costa, Senior Editor, Sports Video Group

Following the announcement of its deal with Oklahoma, Fox Sports continued to make the Big 12 rounds announcing broadcast rights deals with both Texas Tech and TCU.

Texas Tech content will be distributed to a four-state region as a result of the new multi-year agreement between Fox Sports and Learfield Sports, which is Texas Tech’s exclusive athletic multimedia rights holder. Terms of the agreement call for one football game to be televised annually on a Fox Sports Networks’ platform, which could include Fox Sports Southwest, Fox Sports Southwest Plus, or Fox College Sports. The Red Raiders’ Sept. 1 home opener against Northwestern State on Fox Sports Southwest Plus officially kicked off the partnership. Fox Sports Networks platforms will also televise all available men’s basketball games, up to 20 Olympic sports, and additional Texas Tech non-game programming mutually selected by FOX Sports and Texas Tech.  This season, Texas Tech’s Red Raider Weekly and Raider Power are scheduled to air on Fox Sports Southwest and Fox College Sports respectively. Both are 30-minute sports magazine shows…

…TCU and FOX Sports announced a similar multi-year agreement to televise the school’s athletics events and related programming on Fox Sports Southwest and other FOX Sports regional and national networks. The agreement features a comprehensive schedule of TCU athletics events to be televised annually, including one Horned Frog football game, all available men’s basketball games and mutually agreed upon Olympic sports, including women’s basketball, baseball, soccer and volleyball contests. The Horned Frogs’ Sept. 8 home opener against Grambling State on Fox Sports Southwest began the partnership. Telecasts of TCU football games will be produced by Fox Sports, while other TCU airings will be produced by students in the sports broadcasting curriculum of TCU’s Department of Film, Television and Digital Media in collaboration with Fox Sports…
