Daktronics Delivers Custom LED Display Systems to Venues of All Sizes

The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome Daktronics as a corporate sponsor. The company supplies computer-programmable displays, large-screen video displays, and digital-billboard, electronic-scoreboard, and control systems.

“As the world’s largest supplier of LED technology, we are excited about the opportunity to work with SVG and its members,” says National Sales Manager Jay Parker. “At Daktronics, we create unique systems that address the needs of individual facilities and venues, both large and small, and we look forward to providing our customers’ fans with excitement and entertainment for years to come.”

Founded in 1968, Daktronics specializes in the control of large display systems, including those that require integration of multiple complex displays showing real-time information, graphics, animation, and video. The company has close ties to South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD.

Earlier this year, the company installed one of the most sophisticated large-screen systems at Miami’s Marlins Park, incorporating 14 LED video and ribbon displays in the seating bowl. Daktronics also provided the IPTV system that drives HD video, in-game stats, fantasy stats, out-of-town scores, and sponsorship messages to 660 Sony flat-panel screens throughout the venue. Prior to MLB Opening Day 2012, Daktronics also installed an HD-video upgrade in Detroit’s Comerica Park.

Daktronics will install an integrated center-hung LED video display system, along with fascia and auxiliary displays, in the University of Washington’s Alaska Airlines Arena. Husky Stadium, home to Washington Husky football, will receive an integrated LED video display system in the east end zone, among other displays.

In addition, Daktronics is the Technology Partner of the Brooklyn Nets and the newly opened Barclays Center.

The company designs, manufactures, markets, and services display systems for sports venues, transportation applications, and businesses in nearly 100 countries around the world.
