Elemental Enables Live Event Streaming on YouTube

Elemental Technologies, a supplier of video solutions for multiscreen content delivery, announced integration of Elemental Live with YouTube Live streaming workflows, enabling high-quality production, and seamless content delivery for long tail video applications.

Elemental allows professional content producers to easily create and synchronize YouTube Live events for encoding on the Elemental Live platform. Solutions from Elemental are specifically recommended for live event streaming via YouTube channels.

Firms that have distributed live content using gear from Elemental via YouTube include:

Long-time customer World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) deploys Elemental gear in a variety of streaming workflows, including the use of Elemental Live to stream pay-per-view pre-show events via YouTube Live.

NexGen Network (NGN) offers live streaming coverage of the world’s best Ultimate Frisbee. NGN produced the YouTube Live broadcast of the Club Championships in Sarasota, Florida, October 25-28, using Elemental Live to deliver four live streams ranging from SD to HD resolutions to YouTube Live for distribution.

The technical team managing the Ig Nobel Prize ceremony live streamed the annual event to a worldwide online audience. After trying and testing several different encoders, the group found Elemental Live to be the best option for capturing a live HD feed and broadcasting multiple adaptive bit rate streams via YouTube Live.

“Elemental has helped us enable a viewing experience never before possible for fans of Ultimate,” said Kevin Minderhout, Executive Producer of NGN. “Fans internationally can now tune in to watch a live stream of exceptional quality at their specific level of connectivity.”

“Production specialists harness the powerful features available with Elemental Live to reach targeted viewing markets in a way that was previously neither technically nor economically feasible,” said Keith Wymbs, VP marketing at Elemental. “The system can accept, process and output multiple video inputs simultaneously, resulting in advanced functionality for operators bringing professionally produced, high- quality live events to the web through YouTube.”
