NCAA.com Video Views Up During 2012 Fall Championships

NCAA.com, managed by Turner Sports, showed significant growth in video views during the site’s weekend coverage of the 2012 NCAA fall championships.  From Thursday, Nov. 29, through Sunday, Dec. 2, NCAA.com drew a 58% increase in video views for its coverage of Division I women’s volleyball, Division II and III men’s and women’s soccer, and national collegiate men’s water polo.  In addition, NCAA.com delivered a 14% increase in average daily uniques and page visits, according to Omniture.

NCAA.com serves as the official online destination for all 19 NCAA fall championships, providing fans with video highlights, game analysis, recaps, scores, schedules and photos. A few site highlights from this weekend’s coverage include:

  • Six NCAA National Champions were crowned live on NCAA.com
  • 62 NCAA Championship events were streamed live on the site and iPhone app
  • Editorial coverage included 253 news articles and 31 features
  • Live statistics were delivered for more than 200 games

NCAA.com’s live streaming coverage of the NCAA fall championships will continue Thursday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m. ET with Division II women’s volleyball quarterfinals.
