Gregory Weitekamp Named President and Partner for WebStream Sports

WebStream Sports has hired Gregory Weitekamp as President and Partner. Weitekamp currently serves as Director of Championships and Alliances, Media Services at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and begins his new role at WebStream in February.

His experience will serve as a great asset to our team as we continue to grow and look toward new opportunities,” says John Servizzi, Chairman and CEO of WebStream Sports.

At the NCAA, Weitekamp oversees the operations of broadcasting and digital rights management, media coordination, and statistics. He leads a team responsible for day-to-day management of television, digital programming, and production aspects of the Turner/CBS and ESPN contracts, media at championships, and national statistics programs.

Prior to joining the NCAA, Weitekamp worked at the Horizon League as communications coordinator where he handled distribution of press releases, compilation of regular season statistics for a variety of sponsored sports including women’s basketball and baseball, production of media guides and management of the League’s official Web site. He also worked closely with the Horizon League’s television package where he coordinated all halftime programming.

Weitekamp completed a Master’s in Business Administration in December, 2009 at Butler University, where he earned a B.S. in Telecommunication Arts in 2000. Weitekamp, his wife Shelly, and daughter Reese currently reside in Carmel, IN.
