…NBC Sports Group has announced that Will Buxton will serve as reporter for its Formula One coverage. Buxton will join his former colleagues Leigh Diffey (play-by-play), David Hobbs (analyst) and Steve Matchett (analyst), who joined NBC Sports Group in November. Buxton has been entrenched in F1 for nearly a decade, working as a print reporter, a communications executive and a television journalist. He is highly respected in the industry and a favorite among fans. In October, it was announced that NBC Sports Group will televise all F1 races, as well as qualifying, practice sessions, studio shows and re-airs that amount to more than 100 hours of programming annually…

…ESPN has named Todd Grisham as the new host of Friday Night Fights, which will return January 4 on ESPN2 HD and ESPN Deportes. Bernardo Osuna, who served in that role in 2012, will become the series’ first-ever on-site reporter, contributing to ESPN’s Friday Night Fights in English, and ESPN Deportes’ Viernes De Combates in Spanish. Blow-by-blow commentator Joe Tessitore and ringside analyst Teddy Atlas will return to describe the action. Todd Grisham, an anchor for ESPNEWS’ Highlight Express, MMA Live and SportsCenter, previously served as a WWE backstage interviewer, play-by-play commentator and ring announcer.
