Bobby Valentine will join the NBC Sports Radio lineup as a Major League Baseball contributor, starting this month. The former MLB player and manager, most recently of the Boston Red Sox, as well as former analyst for ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball, will provide weekly call-ins to NBC Sports Radio programs and will become a part-time co-host of a soon-to-be-announced daily Monday-Friday talk show that will debut in April, 2013.

Jimmy Roberts will host a new original series on Golf Channel, dubbed In Play with Jimmy Roberts. The series will debut on Tuesday, March 12 at 10:30p with a mission to “scour the globe to uncover the most compelling stories in golf.” Contributors to the show will include New York Times and SI golf reporter Damon Hack, Golf Channel on-air hosts Rich Lerner and Kelly Tilghman, and Golf World senior writer Tim Rosaforte.

The Box Score, The Dan Patrick Show’s daily wrap-up program, debuted on NBC Sports Network on Monday. The half-hour show features ‘The Danettes’ – Dan Patrick’s production team of Paul Pabst, Patrick O’Connor, Andrew Perloff and Todd Fritz – and host Casey Geraghty recapping the highlights of that day’s program.

Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic will launch a weekly late-night show on Feb. 5 starring popular DC-area radio hosts The Junkies (John Auville, Eric Bickel, Jason Bishop and John-Paul Flaim). The 30-minute show, called “Table Manners,” will occupy the 11:00pm ET slot Tuesday nights during February and March and will be filmed at The Palm in DC.
