French Open To Feature Ultra High Definition TV

10sballs.com reports that the French Open may not be able to easily expand its crowded grounds due to bureaucratic and legal snags, but the clay-court Grand Slam is leading the way in the television technology arms race.

The latest shot in the technology war will be fired with the demonstration launch of next-generation “Ultra High Definition” television format during this edition at Roland Garros.

The new 4K format is said to deliver four times the clarity to current Hi-Def, which also made its debut at the Open just seven years ago.
