NBC Sports Group Returns MLS Breakaway on Saturday

NBC Sports Group presents the second edition of MLS Breakaway this Saturday, August 3, at 9 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network. Saturday’s live soccer coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. ET with the Sporting Kansas City-New York Red Bulls match, followed by the unique NBC Sports Group presentation MLS Breakaway (9-10:30 p.m. ET), a special 90-minute “whip-around” show featuring multiple live look-ins to regional broadcasts of five games being played at that time.

In addition, NBC Sports Network will air a new MLS 36 at 6 p.m. ET featuring 18-year old New England Revolution forward Diego Fagundez, the Revolution’s first-ever homegrown player.

COMMENTATORS: Announcer Steve Cangialosi will handle play-by-play for Kansas City-New York alongside analyst Robbie Earle and host Russ Thaler from Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kan.

NBC Sports Group’s lead MLS play-by-play voice John Strong and analysts Kyle Martino and Robbie Mustoe will host MLS Breakaway coverage from NBC Sports Group’s International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.
