Costly Audio Problems at Illinois Valley Community College

newstrib.com reports that Illinois Valley Community College’s Cultural Centre has a major problem.

The auditorium and stage, located within the Peter Miller Community Technology Center, only has one of three main speakers that work. If the last one goes out — which could happen at any time — the theater will basically be soundless.

And the first estimate to fix it was $691,000.

Needless to say, that price didn’t sit well with any of the college’s facilities committee members Monday.
