But the days of remote control warfare could soon be history – with the invention of a new television that allows two programmes to be watched at the same time.

The revolutionary Samsung TV allows two people to watch their favourite shows simultaneously – ending matrimonial disputes about who watches what.

Viewers wear a pair of lightweight 3D glasses which pick up the programme they choose to watch, meaning one person is tuned to one programme, and another to their chosen show.
