TVNewsCheck, SVG to Launch NewsTECH Forum

The NewsTECHForum, a new conference at the crossroads of technology and news storytelling, will gather news, operations, and technology executives at the New York Hilton on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 16-17.

Presented byTVNewsCheck and the Sports Video Group, the NewsTECHForum will offer an off-the-record environment where news management, production, and technology professionals will discuss issues such as the latest developments in ENG acquisition and transmission, how cloud-based workflows are changing the way news is produced and distributed, and how best to prepare for disaster coverage.

“Newsgathering and production are undergoing tremendous change,” says Harry A. Jessell, editor and co-founder of TVNewsCheck. “NewsTECHForum will bring together news and technology managers to talk about the state of their art and to offer manufacturers ideas about how next-generation technology can meet their needs.”

Sessions at NewsTECHForum will include: The Changing World of ENG, News in a Social Media Age, News Production in the Cloud, Prepping For Crisis Coverage, and Newsroom Environment 2014: Managing Assets, Managing People.
